近日，我校8858cc永利皇宫登录王聪教授当选美国ASM International会士（Fellow）。美国ASM International成立于1913年（原美国金属学会），是国际材料领域最具影响力的学会之一，现有3万多名会员。ASM International的会士荣誉自1969年开始评选，旨在奖励在材料科学与工程领域做出杰出贡献的个人。每年会士入选比例低于会员总数的千分之一，因此该奖项在业界具有极高的认可度。
王聪教授的授奖理由为：在氧化物冶金和焊接冶金领域，尤其是微观组织-夹杂物交互作用理解方面的持久贡献；创建ASM沈阳分会，及对材料科学及冶金教育的推动。（For sustained contribution in oxide metallurgy and welding metallurgy, particularly in understanding microstructure-inclusion interplay, for establishment of a new ASM chapter, and promotion of materials science and metallurgy education）
